This Privacy Notice explains how BRKN collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the BRKN app, website, and related services.

We may collect account information such as name, email address, login credentials, profile settings, subscription status, device information, app usage activity, devotional progress, journal metadata, prayer request data, group participation data, and support communications.

2. Journal Entries and Prayer Requests

Journal entries and private reflections are treated as sensitive personal content. BRKN is designed to keep private journal content private to the user unless the user chooses to share specific content. Prayer requests shared in groups may be visible to group members.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to operate the app, personalize devotionals and battle plans, track spiritual fitness progress, support accountability features, process subscriptions, improve app performance, provide customer support, and maintain security.

4. AI Features

BRKN may use user-selected focus areas, devotional activity, prayer themes, and journal prompts to personalize AI-generated content. Private journal text should only be used for personalization where clearly disclosed and permitted by the user.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate hosting, analytics, authentication, payments, email, customer support, or AI functionality.

6. Community and Group Visibility

Within Brotherhood or Sisterhood groups, certain activity may be visible, such as completion status, streaks, encouragement messages, and prayer requests you choose to share. Private journal entries are not visible to group members.

7. Payment Data

Payments may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, or other payment providers. BRKN does not store full payment card details unless explicitly handled by a compliant payment provider.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.

10. Children’s Privacy

BRKN is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Your Choices

You may update account information, adjust notifications, leave groups, cancel subscriptions through the applicable platform, or request deletion of your account by contacting support.

12. International Users

If you access BRKN outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will include a revised effective date.
